Checked Open Submissions Checked Indexed Checked Peer Reviewed

Peer Review Process

Materials and Devices is exempt of any censorship. We certify that all submitted articles will be forwarded to reviewers, except if the manuscript does not comply with the rules edicted by the journal. Papers will be evaluated by reviewers from a strict scientific point of view. This differentiates MD from some commercial journals which sort submitted works according to non scientific criteria in order to mechanically increase their impact factor.

Evaluation – peer-reviewing : After reception, if the paper is suitable for the journal, the manuscript is sent up to three reviewers for evaluation. In case of divergent opinions of the first two reviewers, the editor in chief sends the paper to a third reviewer and then gives a final decision based on all reports. Reviewers are asked to reply within three weeks to warranty a fast publication process.
